While I presume this to be true, I await the judgment of his spouse, Rita Wilson, and prominent costars/colleagues such as Daryl Hannah, Julia Roberts, Catherine Zeta Jones, Meg Ryan and Halle Berry. If such a lineup is unanimous in support of the "nice" assertion, Tom Hanks should, in my humble opinion, be celebrated, not just for his on-screen performances, but for his off-screen demeanor.
