Sadly there’s an entire industry devoted to the “left behind” trope. It would seem that the concept of the rapture is ingrained in the collective insanity of faith!

As I recall, the Bible notes the number as being 144,000. As there are more than 600 million evangelicals in the world, only a tiny fraction will go missing. ( 0.023%)

It gets even better not only have there been more than 300 predicted dates for this hogwash but additionally in the bible Jebus specifically states to his followers that the event would take place within their lifetimes...
