While I certainly agree with the meme above, it's also worth pointing out that known left-leaning media sources had in the past promoted conspiracy theory stories of nazis overtaking Ukraine. It's true there are some neo-nazi sympathizers among the Ukrainian ranks, and the Azov Battalion comes to mind, but nazism in modern day Ukraine is not the existential threat that some make it out to be. That's mostly Kremlin propaganda. At the very least, such a claim is debateable.

Putin has a foul habit of calling anyone who opposes him nazi sympathizers, and strangely enough (but not really surprisingly) a good number of those aligned with the far-left in our country have a tendency to cry the same thing when someone doesn't agree on their viewpoints. That sort of argument and logic (dare I call it logic, as it's anything but) gets rather monotonous after awhile.

Could you give me an example of someone "rooting for Russia"?

@OldMetalHead Trump did not Praise Putin. Watch the video. He's talking about how pathetic the sanctions were that Biden put in place, and said if he were in the Oval Office, Putin would not be in the Ukraine.

Trump claiming Putin was a hero, smart and brave offering peacekeepers.

@glennlab Show me the video of Trump saying that.

@BD66 I don't have time to go through the news archives of the things I have read. You dismiss anything anyhow, so I won't waste time except to say that Trump is a Russian tool.

@glennlab You are reading ridiculous propaganda. If you look at what Trump actually says, it's nothing like what the news sources you read say he has said. You are consciously choosing to remain in a echo chamber absorbing lies.

@BD66 spoken like a true russian tool

@glennlab The video of Trump saying "Putin was a hero, smart and brave offering peacekeepers." either exists, or it does not exist. That leads to 2 possibilities:

  1. Whatever news sources you are listening to are propaganda tools rather than news sources, and you should not read those news sources any more if you want to be informed.
  2. Trump actually said it.

The fact that you are unwilling (and unable) to produce such a video shows that #1 is the case. I have heard plenty of Republicans calling Trump a "Murderous KGB thug", and none sympathetic to Putin.

@BD66 It exists, so look it up
a third possibility, I don't have time to try to teach a pig how to sing. It exists and I don't really care whether you believe it or not, if Trump told you that the sky was green, you would believe him. Prove to me that he didn't say it.

@glennlab I looked at the video, and Trump's statements were nothing like what they reported them to be. Have you seen any video where Trump says "Putin was a hero, smart and brave offering peacekeepers."? Do you believe such a video exists? You are the one making the outrageous claim, and you appear to be unable to back up your outrageous claim. That's very similar to what preachers do every Sunday morning.

@Garban Thank you for posting. Did you hear the "They are going to keep peace all right" Trump was using sarcasm.

@BD66 since @Garban posted it, how about admitting you are wrong?

@glennlab You are unable to detect the sarcasm in what Trump said?

@BD66 That was not sarcasm, admit it you are WRONG.

@Garban I will agree with you that Trump is not a professional politician. He often brainstorms in public and uses sarcasm where people can misinterpret what he says. "Bleach" was a terrible brainstorming idea. He had one or two decent brainstorming ideas at the same time, but everyone remembers his "Bleach" idea. I don't remember the "Sharpie Gate" thing. The statements you provided are clearly sarcasm, but they could be interpreted by his enemies as "praising Putin".

@glennlab You can't be that simple-minded.

@BD66 You are so myopic that you can't see the bullshit, I feel sorry for you. You only claimed it was sarcasm when you got called out.

@BD66 Trump would not recognise sarcasm if it bit him on the arse. The USA is a well known irony free zone and Trump is the ultimate all American guy.

@Garban The people who support Trump, or who are at least unbiased with respect to Trump, will recognize immediately that he is using sarcasm. The people who hate Trump will refuse to see the obvious sarcasm and refuse to believe anything Trump says to clarify his position.

@BD66
Trump has an eighth grade education and a 4th grade vocabulary. I would bet he couldn't spell sarcasm correctly, let alone know when he is using it.

Your argument, although technically correct (Trump did not say exactly "Putin was a hero, smart and brave offering peacekeepers." ) Trump has always kissed Putin's ass because he wants to be a autocrat like Putin.

If Trump (or any of the republican senators who support him) had said anything close to what they have said recently back in the 1950s, they would have been excoriated and jailed by congress in a bipartisan vote. Sadly, the republicans of the united states have stopped feeling any sort of empathy towards others and have turned their government jobs into money making ventures.

I only hope that the kids born after 1990 get elected to positions in the government and undo all the evil the republicans have wrought in the last 30 years.

@AtheistInNC Let's peal back layer after layer of nonsense:

"Trump has an eighth grade education and a 4th grade vocabulary."

Trump went to high school at the New York Military Academy. It's a highly rated college prep school.

[niche.com]

Trump then spent two years at Fordham University, which has a business school ranked between 50 and 100 in the country:

[accepted.com]

Trump spent his final two years at Penn's Wharton School of Business, where he graduated with a B.S in Economics:

Penn, Harvard, and Stanford usually compete for the #1 rating among business schools.

Wharton's graduate program has been consistently ranked in the top tier. Its MBA program is ranked No. 2 in the World according to the Financial Times[7] and No. 1 in the United States according to the 2021 U.S. News & World Report ranking.[8] Meanwhile, Wharton's MBA for Executives and undergraduate programs are ranked No. 3 and No. 1 in the United States respectively by U.S. News.[9][10] MBA graduates of Wharton earn an average $159,815 first year base pay not including bonuses, the highest of all the leading schools.[11][12] Wharton's MBA program is tied for the highest in the United States with an average GMAT score of 732 (97th percentile) for its entering class.

[en.wikipedia.org]

So Trump transferred into a top school for business, and he graduated from a top school for business. He may not have been a star student, but he did complete the program.

"Trump has always kissed Putin's ass because he wants to be a autocrat like Putin."

Putin took Crimea when Obama was in the Oval office.
Putin took nothing when Trump was in the Oval office.
Putin has now invaded the Ukraine with Biden in the Oval office.

"If Trump (or any of the republican senators who support him) had said anything close to what they have said recently back in the 1950s, they would have been excoriated and jailed by congress in a bipartisan vote."

Apart from Trump's use of sarcasm, I have never heard any praise from a Republican Senator for Putin. I have heard them describe him as a "Murderous KGB thug" or similar descriptions.

What kind of fantasy world are you living in?

@BD66
Oh my goodness, it seems you believe what you write. How cute.

Let's "peal" (sic - you meant "peel", but your intelligence is in question as well atm) back YOUR nonsense:

You never refuted my statement that Trump has an eighth grade education and a 4th grade vocabulary, just that he went to good schools.

Just because you attend a school does not mean that you learn anything ... and Trump is the greatest example of that. When you have enough money, you can buy a degree from a school (as Trump did). And if Trump were a good student, why doesn't he release his grades or G.P.A.? Because he is stupid af, that's why.

Here is an article which basically refutes Trump's narrative that he was a good student at Wharton:
[phillymag.com]

“The focus of that [that people might think he’s stupid] for Trump is the college transcripts, which are apparently terrible. I’ve spoken to friends of Trump from that time, and this was a guy that was obviously not interested in school and possibly never read a book in his life. For everyone that had known him then and years afterward, the assumption was that he had terrible grades, he was a lackluster student at best.”

The school itself deflects any questions about his attendence:
Penn has never had Trump deliver a commencement speech or conferred an honorary degree on him. In the wake of his election, Penn tour guides were discouraged from bringing up the T-word and issued simple instructions for handling questions about Trump’s tenure at Penn: Keep it short and sweet — “Yes, he graduated from Wharton in 1968”. And one of his Wharton professors repeatedly told friends and associates that Donald Trump “was the dumbest goddamn student I ever had.”

Trump graduated because his family bought his degree. Prove me wrong.

Once again, you didn't refute my statement "Trump has always kissed Putin's ass because he wants to be a autocrat like Putin." You made captain obvious statements that had nothing to do with what I said. It's not really a discussion if I say "Let's talk about Trump" and you then discuss what Putin did. Is your ADHD so acute that you can't focus? Or are you such an ignoramus that you can't make a valid point, so you try to obfuscate ?

In either case, from the article above:
When President Donald Trump emerged from his mysterious one-on-one summit with Russian president Vladimir Putin in Helsinki in July of 2018, the respective visages and body language of the two world leaders could not have been further apart. The Russian president looked smug and sated, like a vampire with a bellyful of peasant blood; Trump looked like a man who’d just received a painful enema. Or, as grizzled, now-banished White House aide-de-camp Steve Bannon describes it in Siege, Michael Wolff’s decadent and depraved follow-up to 2018’s Trumpworld tell-all Fire And Fury, “like a beaten dog.”

Trump wants to suck Putin's dick so bad, he would do anything for it. The reason Trump looked so bad was probably because he was carrying an assful of babyjuice.

And apparently you want the same from Trump.

In your apparent rush to kiss Trump's ass so convincingly, you didn't read or failed to understand my last statement. I said nothing about praising Putin. However, Sen Josh Hawley of Missouri said he thinks the US should give into one of Putin's demands.
[cnn.com]

The Kansas City Star accuses him [Hawley] of being a "disgraceful voice of appeasement"
[msn.com]

The Republican Nationwide Committee voted to censure Kinzinger and GOP Rep. Liz Cheney for their participation in the January 6 Dwelling Committee (you apparently are too young to remember Watergate).

There are numerous other examples of conduct that would have been considered inconceivable a generation ago that is overlooked nowadays - like your support of Trump. But this just shows that the American education system is so broken, uneducated people like you exist. Do you believe the earth is flat, too? My guess is yes.

So, stop your orally applied anal drivel to this site, and go crawl back under the rock from which you escaped. I can give you the link to the Merriam-Webster's dictionary online, should you need to look up any of the big words in this response.

I doubt M-W has "butthurt" listed yet, but here you go, should you feel it necessary:
