I'm the cause of animals getting crammed in cages, dipped in boiling water, tied up in the dark from birth, and I'm sure a ton of other horrible things I don't even know about, so I have zero room to criticize anyone else for whatever they do to animals.

@OldMetalHead Killing an animal so I can wear its skin on my feet is essentially aesthetics. Even if it's not, it's all unnecessary and purely for our enjoyment/desires. I can't make a legitimate supportable argument that my desire to eat, wear, use as sporting equipment, etc. is a justifiable reason to harm animals, but anyone else's reason to harm an animal for whatever reason they want to harm it isn't a justifiable reason.
As fucked up as it sounds, I can't even make the argument that harming an animal purely to harm it isn't any less justifiable than my reasons. Say a person harms animals as an outlet so as to not harm humans, is that really not at least as beneficial a reason as "I want a cheeseburger instead of a salad"?
