Have the proper return address showing & fill that puppy up!
You have to make sure there is an address showing in the window for the guilty company to pay the postage.
Good point.
Question: does it have to be the address of the company who actually sent it? or can you put like tons of dinosaur confetti and mail it to some random dude and have Company X pay for it?
@scurry Hmm ... that's a good question. Since it is automated and the code is on the envelope, you might be able to send the dinosaur confetti to party Z. However, the software might have an error checking code to kick those envelopes out if the address doesn't match the expected address (and the 'send to' address might be encoded as well, so no matter what you put in the window, it goes to company X).
@AtheistInNC Hmm... Do we know anyone who works at a post office that can shed some light on this?
Alternatively... How do we test this?? If we send to Party Z, and we know Party Z, we can check if pkg gets there or not, but if it doesn't get there, we won't know if it was delivered to Company X or simply rejected from the system.
