I had a science teacher that would constantly tell the class to "finger the teacher". Thumbs up meant yes to the question, thumbs down meant now. A few years after I graduated the school board made him stop doing it.

I on the other hand got a detention (I think even suspended) because of one phrase they took the wrong way. Had to write a poem for earth day. It had to be about a tree or an animal or whatever. I wrote mine about a chicken. The last sentence was then the chicken choked. Hell it was the only thing I could think of that rhymed with whatever other sentence that was previous. With the detention paper you had to write your account or whatever about the incident. I should have said "There was no incident. You have a dirty mind". It was a joint decision between the teacher and the principal. I had another teacher that was talking about sod houses. She was trying to say "3 foot thick" (describing the blocks). She said "3 foot dicks". LMAO
