I was a long haul truck driver for 46 years without a smart phone, I don't know how in the hell I survived.

use drive moving trucks and do service work. like see todays kids use maps like we did

I almost always drove team, my requirement for a partner was that they were very good at navigation, and didn't smoke cigs. I did more than half of the driving to compensate.
