The 80s sucked so bad for so many reasons. The mullet only being one of them.

However, the history of the mullet goes WAY back.

@glennlab It wasn't that hard. I just asked google. LOL
Although, I did have a feeling that there would be something like that somewhere online. I do recall seeing several old paintings depicting men wearing their hair in that "fashion". Photos taken during the "Wild West" period, as well.
Buffalo Bill wore his hair that way. LOL
