Yep.
The local NPR station is (I think) finishing its annual "Sweets for your sweet" fund raising campaign.
Over the years I have learned to leave the radio off around Valentines day as their asserting (usually over a five to (ten sweet for your sweetheart infused add barrage) that repeats over and over and over that I need to give them money so they can give my sweetheart chocolate (between the lines if you don't have a sweetheart, you are broken) is little more then a kick in the face. I did catch only one of their appeals this year and it sounded like they adapted their campaign it to include - - give us money so we can give your friends sweets. - - Almost like they figured out by specifically addressing those with love interests, they were disenfranchising a rather substantial population that is not is such a relationship?
Almost like someone at NPR read my letter addressing their sweets for your sweet campaign?
Every time I feel this way I just remember all the bull shit, arguments, and constant compromises that being with someone involved and I donβt feel so bad.
Bet you are not the only one feeling that way during this holiday. I can personally vouch for that as well.
