Businesses operating in the US will still have to pay income tax even if they operate from outside the country. That is the way the US tax law is written. Besides, based on the tax returns released by the mega wealthy, they seem to be able to exempt significant amounts of their income already even before the most recent round of big tax cut for the wealthy. When Mitt Romney ran in 2012, he released only 2 years of his tax returns and paid an effective rate below what most regular Americans pay in income tax. We should suspect that these two years of returns were also preparing him for his presidential run; earlier years he didn't release very likely had even lower rates of tax that he paid. Years ago, Warren Buffet reported in an article having compared his rate of income tax with all his employees in his office. He by far made the lowest rate including his lowest earners.

Just those two years cost Mitt $2 million dollars that the Morman church claimed he underpaid them, When Trump wouldn't release his taxes, he stated the only reason he wouldn't release them was he had something to hide. Takes one to know one.
I hear and understand this but it shows "people think" in my area. Many that were working are now jobless by choice and it makes me wonder how they get the bills paid. They exist waiting for the next gimmick the rich can come up with to get their money. Somehow they all manage to keep their cell phones which they check every 5 minutes.

The wealthy had no problem exporting their jobs overseas to places like China (who Republicans now use to fear monger over). The economic rise of communist China has been fueled by those like the trump's who have their products made there along with Apple and many others. I recall a Sharktank episode where one of the rich investors would invest to support the contestant's endeavor but only if they agreed to have the product made in China. Major investments in factories by the American wealthy have been overseas largely in Asia and especially Southeast Asia. American workers now must compete with the slave wages and no worker protections of some of the poorest and most abusive countries in the world.
Logic from the right is never logical. They use the same bad arguments from religion to get their sheep in line.
