I know that I usually hear, in my imagination, words that I'm reading or things I'm thinking. I think that's what my old philosophy professor meant by the phrase "internal monologue". I'm not talking about audio hallucinations, of course. There's a difference between imagining conversation and actually physically hearing things that are not real.
