I assume some of these are going to be local to places on the earth’s surface, like the solar eclipses?

Considering how short the years are on Mercury, you'd think transits with that planet would be a lot more common.

Because of the different slight angles of the planets Mercury usually goes either above or below the sun when going past it on it's way from the evening to the morning sky.
