It's still 3 days away from the close conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn and this is how close they are tonight. I included a moon shot to compare how close they are and the size of the moon. If you can zoom in on Saturn you will sorta see the rings.

It's better to take a photo of the moon when it's not full. When the moon is full, the sun hits it pretty msh straight on so there are no shadows. Shadows highlight detail. 1/1600 sec. f/6.3 421mm ISO 617
