I found a flock of more than a thousand snow geese that had landed in some Amish fields, tonight. It's always exciting to see them during spring migration and the sheer number was mind boggling.

We have red-rumped swallows nesting on our porch. They return every year. Sometimes the nest can be reused and sometimes it breaks and falls during the winter so they build a new one. This year they are rebuilding, but there seem to be three birds...
