This guy adopted us 5 years ago, there are 3 of them and they come for a chat and food, maybe 15 days a year. We had a bad bushfire and one day they turned up all burnt and not well at all. We always make sure there is plenty of water for birds, but ...

I am the beloved choice of mate for an umbrella cockatoo and an african grey parrot. Does anyone else have any psitticine companions, ot have any questions about what living with large birds is all about?

Interesting I thought.

Three tundra swans and a snow goose. 2/27/18, Montour County, PA.

A single mute swan coming to mingle with the huge flocks of tundra swans and snow geese in Montour County, PA, tonight.

I encountered the largest flock of wood ducks I've even seen, today. Twenty-eight birds hanging around a drainage pond. They are so beautiful!!

I’m trying to stay away from Cardinals ... then this punk-rock young thing shows up on my porch.

Birding after work at the Montour Preserve: yellowlegs (greater or lesser, I'm not sure), barn swallow, osprey in silhouette (I was on the wrong side of the lake for that lighting), red-winged bird, and chipping sparrow.
