This ring-billed gull was flying too low over the highway and got sucked underneath a truck. A kind commuter saw the bird was still alive and stopped to help it. It was brought into the vet clinic where we took x-rays and gave it a physical exam. ...

I encountered the largest flock of wood ducks I've even seen, today. Twenty-eight birds hanging around a drainage pond. They are so beautiful!!

Birding after work at the Montour Preserve: yellowlegs (greater or lesser, I'm not sure), barn swallow, osprey in silhouette (I was on the wrong side of the lake for that lighting), red-winged bird, and chipping sparrow.
