I found a flock of more than a thousand snow geese that had landed in some Amish fields, tonight. It's always exciting to see them during spring migration and the sheer number was mind boggling.

Duck surgery. This young Mallard is thought to have been injured by a snapping turtle. One of the vets I work with volunteered to remove the dead toe and clean up the necrotic tissue and the duck is doing great at a local rehab facility.
