Wow, just found this group! I have about 50 years of retail experience that has given me a great cross section view of people, at least in Missouri and now Arizona, but I guess most observations would apply elsewhere. Like how parents can be oblivious to obnoxious children, and just because the store closes at 5 I need to finish my shopping I got around to starting at 4:55. Basically it has giving me the attitude that in general people live in a blissful oblivion and are sure it's all about them. With exceptions of course, like the ones that just know you want to know all about the life circumstance that brought them to the store (in my case in the hardware business that can be quite a story sometimes), or that everyone like their comedy routine or deeply thought out answers to pretty much anything you want to know, and a lot you don't. Long ago I was given a little sign I still have and ascribe to, "The more people I meet the more I like my dog."

Posted by AmiSueAh! Winter. When corporate lets you close the store only after the roads are closed.

Posted by AmiSueBy the skin of my teeth... My store is trashed. I was cussed at, yelled at, and disrespected in all manner of ways. We made the goddamn sales plan :)
