Interesting chain of events...I was told I would be paid xx for my current job. That didn't happen. I assumed it was the usual fuckery; they also said health coverage at 30. It was 90.
In a weak moment I answered another manager's question as to why I am working 3 jobs, and told him about the wage lie.
He ratted me out. SM sat me down, asked if I had other complaints - no. Said the DM would call me today.
I thought for certain I would be out of a job, labeled a malcontent. Warned my son.
She called. They have been under paying me for 6 months ! She apologized and said she's making it right, including back pay.
Retail. You gotta love it.
Side story - the manager who ratted me out was the one who input the wrong wage during on boarding.

I know a store manager that got a spanking from the DM. Good.
I would be on the lookout for retaliation from the manager because he will surely blame you for making him look bad.
Document every little thing: dates, times, who was in the vicinity whether they heard/saw it or not.
I had to sue an employer once many years ago. Learned a lot about employment law

I am so tired of the working atmosphere here in the US. We have to worry about being fired for speaking up when we're underpaid? It is high time for a universal customer service Union.
