I'm not convinced that Russia is what gave us Chump — I think our own putrid political system was more than capable of producing this outcome itself — but if they did, in fact, have anything to do with his election, well that's what the Intelligence community calls "blowback," is it not?
Throughout its history the United States repeatedly attacked, sabotaged and undermined the Soviet Union. U.S. interference was one of the major contributors to the collapse of that country in 1991. So the Russian government that followed — the Russian system now in place — might not even exist if not for the United States ... When the U.S. worries about Russia messing with its internal politics it sounds a lot like psychological projection.

The GOP in the late 1950s started earning Trump.
The Party’s far right called the moderate Pres. Eisenhower a commie sympathizer, expelled moderates in the early 1960s, recruited the Dixiecrats in the late 1960s, and in the 1980s invited the evangelicals to join. Those were all steps toward demagoguery.

The USA interferes with most of the countries in the world and so it gradually teaches them to find a way to fight back. Did Russia try to influence USA election? Did USA try to influence Russia. Does everyone spy on everyone. Of course. They always have. Will everyone learn to fight digitally? Of course. It is the best way for the weakest to fight back. The hypocrisy of the USA is astounding.
