We must at least make a gentle statement on this imposition. I return it to the front desk. Then leave at least a Harriet (when?) to a Benjamin for housekeeping. I usually stay at a Best Western as many are pet friendly. We changed that in the last 20 years also. I used to put it in the waste basket. I never put it in the toilet as that is something , well, I jst won't do that. I want to do something more inventive. Like replacing it with the Satanic bibble. Something sexual is easy. That is as a 13 year old boy. I want more of that great Judaic/British insults. These "FARCICLE" designs in my head are a result of 2 years of lock down. Forgive me. I am not armed.
I travel a lot for both work and pleasure, and those things are still common. I like affixing one of the many available “warning labels” that call attention to the hazards of that book (or “books,” since it’s really an anthology). This one is from FFRF, but many others are out there. Also, not hard to make your own.
I think I might ruffle the pages. Take the end of the page & stick it into the binding part until it looks like a peacock. I recently recycled my bibble from a youthful foray into various religions as a study not as a convert. I did not like the smell of the bibble. Not a bad scent. Just recalls times better left forgotten.
I haven't seen a Bible in a hotel in years. But taking it to cost a religious group money sounds like a good deed to me. I always take pamphlets and stuff when religious zealots are handing them out and throw them in the garbage.
Because I don't have a belief in the organized sense of God within any religion, it doesn't give me a sense towards purposely suppressing others from their beliefs. I feel that would be virtually the same hypocritical actions we see in to many aspects of freedom of information we witness today. Quite frankly, such sadistic measures would only help the cause of all sects of religion to add these types of actions to their already negative outlook on us. More disturbing and degrading to us, a fascist aspect.
