'They destroyed me.' Wells Fargo's mistake forced her to sell her home.

The Washington Post does something good for society for a change. Better late than never I guess. 😟

Yeah they’re fucking terrible and I’d love to see the regional director for bb&t from 2008-09 fucking stripped of everything and thrown into homelessness for an eternity.

Between 2008-09 bb&t in the mid Atlantic region was just outright for closing on people to the point judged made them stop. My late mother in law was one of them and when we tried to fight them they showed up with receipts of nonpayment but she also banked with them and had attempted to show that she had written them checks for the and that money had been taken by them.

She had a second mortgage and they applied all payments for 4 months to her 2nd mortgage and forclosed on the first. There was 6 other people within her development that they had done the same exact thing to.
Bankers, Priests and Politicians should all be hung by their entrails.

Husband and I used to bank at Wells Fargo, but back in 2007 we went to a credit union and have stuck with a credit union ever since. Richard was angry then about some story that the directors were partying and using homes that they repoed for throwing parties! Wells Fargo is nothing but pure evil.

I'm not happy with my bank either! We use to be at First Merit, who was merged with Huntington. It's been one pain in the ass after another. If it wasn't for my Home Equity account I'd be gone in a heart beat. We're thinking about seeing if another bank will do all the switching for us or possibly the community federal credit near by.

@William_Mary If you can move everything to the credit union you will not regret it. They take good care of their customers and don't screw you over, and it's taking your money out of the "big" banks. Plus if it's a small local credit union, you're helping your community. We moved everything to the credit union even our mortgage. We even got a better rate with the credit union when we went with them.

@Redheadedgammy thank you for the information.
