(LARA BAZELON: Well, I mean, that, to me, has been what’s been frustrating, is that I don’t find her responses to be responsive to the questions that she’s being asked, and I don’t feel oftentimes that she’s being asked the hard questions. So, the Face the Nation clip is kind of the perfect example, where she’s thrown what I think is sort of a softball and then responds by ticking off a couple of accomplishments, that, when you look at them in the bigger context, actually aren’t that progressive.)

That right there pretty much wraps up the problem with MSM I and others bring up regularly. Politicians are handed softball questions and allowed to follow up with self narrative answers where a lot of times those answers avoid the issue. And the interviewer rarely follows up to force a politician with productive rebuttal. Essentially what's being done today is mic-ing the politician. If you listen closely enough you can even tell when the interviewer is actually setting the politician up for their answers. On air wave debates where they worked out the Q&A before going on air without the debate. Essentially it's talking point allowance to set a narrative towards perception management towards a delusional reality. I hear this being performed on NPR 5 days a week as I drive to and from my customers to our scrap yards. The ludicrous insanity I hear and recognize on issues such as Venezuela, Russia, and Iran today for example are simply delusional.
