Chomsky is my political idol, and I'm a Libertarian Socialist just like he is, but I think he's doing a bit of fear mongering here. Trump can bring about nuclear war? The end of the world? Total destruction? We've had Trump for 4 years, and as much as I dislike him and his policies (tax breaks for the rich, cutting foodstamps to 700,000+ Americans, etc.), we haven't had any major military action since he's been president. Trump has basically been a below average establishment president. Biden would "just" be a continuation of Obama? Obama and Biden extended 2 wars into 7, bailed out corporations, and continued a draconian authoritarian policed society. Chomsky is okay with more of that? Biden isn't for health care for everyone, has been in favor of cutting social safety net programs his ENTIRE 50 year career, is a creepy "alleged" rapist who makes almost every woman he's near uncomfortable, is a liar, plagiarist, corporate ass kisser, among other things. He's basically Trump with dementia, and I'm sure Biden would take more military actions. I want NEITHER one of them! I mean Trump is outflanking Biden from the LEFT by offering some form of M4A and debt suspension during this pandemic of COVID-19 while Biden still refuses to adopt a M4A platform. So I don't know where Chomsky thinks that Biden will be okay, and then fear monger that Trump is going to end the world. Maybe Chomsky is getting a little senile too.

Elizabeth Warren is a fraud. She stood in the primary race when she had NO path to win. She won NO states. She came in 3rd in her OWN state! She stood in just long enough to siphon votes from Bernie in more progressive states like Minnesota, Maine, Massachusetts, and even Texas on Super Tuesday. She also gave the media negative press towards Bernie while Bernie kept the kid gloves on.

The rest of the candidates dropped out and endorsed Biden pretty quickly. Probably in hopes of getting nice positions in his administration. Obama calling all of them didn't hurt either. They're all establishment whores.

AOC is also a fraud. Her supporters need to actually see what she's been doing since she got elected. She's becoming quite the Democratic establishment pet. She defers to corporate Dems of things that matter like the Venezuela situation and the GND, etc. She ran on opposing corporate Dems and trying to primary them and then she defers to them? She's all talk and show.

He states that if Biden wins it will amount to a continuation of the Obama administration. As he started out with how terrible Trump has been, rightfully so, and emphasizing nuclear war. Chomsky will have you forget how Obama was Bush on steroids. How Obama's policies lead to more warring in 7 countries, one is Syria which he and Clinton pushed the possibility of nuclear war with Russia during his administration, then supported Clinton for president who was at the time speaking of pushing that boundary even further. Nuclear war has been on the table for several years now. I can go on in various aspects of how Obama propelled us on every level.

He knows nothing will effect a Biden presidency. The new green deal he speaks of is one that collaborates with corporations. New? Newly stolen and drastically watered down from the Green Parties platform. They have an agenda, they will stick to it.

People don't change the institution of society, the institution normalizes society within conditioning. Occasionally the people get small incremental appearances of change while the establishment continues its agenda. And those are eroded away gradually over time or never funded in the first place to happen. This has been going on since at least the Reagan administration, more so since Bush Jr.

What administration has been tolerant? Tolerant to what? Biden is every bit as much as a sociopath as Trump! And I'll go as far as to say Sanders is also for the part he's been playing in this since 2016.

Chomsky just normalized everything he previously has spoken against, making it ordinary. Which he has a long history of doing. He's made a career out of bashing the system created by both establishment parties then attempting to deflect people to the democratic party as though they can be our saviors.

Which aggressive womanizing pedophile with a history of being a war hawk, hates and kills minorities in various ways, denies you better healthcare, expands poverty at every given chance, and introduces more people to prison is worthy of being your president? That is our choice to Chomsky!?! He erases Biden's entire history in an effort to beat Trump against all his own previous political commentary of a totally failed system in which Biden has been at the top of playing a part in for several decades. Rather than point out the flaws of both these idiots, truthfully spell out what their history's has brought us (being he only did so of Trump while leaving Bidens out) and suggesting how to move towards his previous political commentary work, we get further normalization for Joe Biden. If you can't beat them join them?

Absolutely. Chomsky is aging rapidly. He won't be here in 4 years unfortunately. I hope he is right about Biden in that I'd fear Biden being like Obama and surrounding himself with Wall Street guys. But it will help if the Senate is not republican, even more if both houses aren't.
