Do you have an itch for adventure?
tinkercreek comments on Sep 14, 2019:
I've been a few places, done a few things. Climbed Mt. Hood, snorkeled with fishies, swam with sea lions, top-kayaked over sharks, downhill & XC skied, rode motorbikes, vaca'd in sweet villages, Dragon boat raced, danced & partied, hiked through open & forested expanses, toured some of America and spent time in New Zealand & Fiji, a couple others. SO much more to see and do, and my lists of desired adventures are scattered about. I fully respect that a 60+ yr body would not heal as well or quickly as previously, and make choices accordingly. My next few months are designed around getting a new hip, anxious to change my current reality of being able to walk less than 30 mins at a time, which has been a major reality-bender. Reading and viewing on the adventures of others will have to do for a while, likely gaining new lists!

Made that mistake ONCE, with a recently married coworker, SO painful. Turns out those compression under-garments (spanx) push extra torso flesh all around into a preggers-type shape . . .

Great story, and hopefully good info for all. With over 40 yrs in various healthcare settings I've seen and heard quite a lot, and times as you describe when the third eye sees what others may not, and the heart takes over your time and action, are the truth of life. Thank you for doing what you do.

tinkercreek comments on Sep 1, 2019:
His "agenda": in town on business? If that seems plausible and still worth a meeting, sounds like good reason for extreme caution on your part, and other comments are also on point. Above all, if you do choose to meet, maintain control. NOT at his hotel for even a moment. Choose a very public space like coffee shop or restaurant, and maintain your own transportation. If the lack of planning turns out to have some explanation, it will be worth meeting again when you are more confident of him.
Falling in love when you shouldn't.
tinkercreek comments on Aug 31, 2019:
I prefer to look back and be glad that I've known and enjoyed falling in love, for some struggle with that. The depth of my feelings may have overshadowed the possibilities, and reality was tough to deal with but always plays through. Love, learn, and try again!
I am officially taking myself out of the singles category.

51 years ago yesterday, the Sound of Music was released.😲
tinkercreek comments on Aug 29, 2019:
What a thrill that was, seeing the film at the glorious old Paramount Theatre (now the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall). I knew every song and sang them frequently when I was young, then enjoyed performing the choral versions into adult years. Perhaps the story was more of a draw for girls with the recalcitrant nun finding romance and family, the fears and journey of the children as they re-fashioned life and freedom. Loved it all, and still do!
I got my son good today.
