Is it ok with you if I post snake pictures?
I know such can trigger some people. I don't wish to freak anyone out...
Actually I did not know it at the time but this really helped me. I used to work for a commercial fixture company and while we were working in a remodel of an architectural office I had the experience of placing cubical walls to a specific layout. The electricians were also there that day running wire. Looking down to see where to place walls ok would be surprised to see wire coming out of conduit. Looked to me like a snake trying to get me. I was surprised shocked, but did not drop the wall or mess my pants. Quite a feat.
I have a great fear of snakes. The fear became almost overwhelming so I decided to get some clay and make a cobra, up so it looked like it would strike. Left it unpainted and placed it on top of my computer monitor. I had to walk past it to get into the room. Took about two days before I could get past it but eventually I could walk past reach out and touch it. I do not know if I could do this if it were painted. Please post all the pictures you want, I do think they are pretty. Almost stepped on a rattlesnake once, I hold the world record for floating in the air. No confirmed so no record.
I have to commend you for having desensitized yourself. I have family members who will never do do, sadly.

Posted by InsectraA cute grey treefrog (Hyla versicolor) that I found in my birch tree, this afternoon. His camouflage was great and I only discovered him when I heard him calling.
