A beautiful skunk I encountered (from a distance, thankfully) while bird watching. It noticed me right away, but I guess I wasn't too threatening as it ignored me and continued to root around for things to eat.

My native stick insect eggs have started to hatch! I had almost given up hope that they would. This species is Diapheromera femorata. They will feed on oak leaves.

This is Gumby. She’s my Madagascar Giant Day Gecko. She’s quite a character. We’ve bonded over many moments of stuck shed removals (some of these guys are prone to shedding problems despite all you do to keep the right humidity).
