Looks more tortoiseshell to me, but definitely a beauty.
It's probably where you are from. Torties are all shades of brown and black... (no white).
Calicos are black/white/orange/brown.
We've had this comment before. It might depend on where you live.
@RavenCT, I was told calicos have a white base coat with spots of other colors.
@TaraMarshall Right. So that's a calico.
@RavenCT, that's spots of white, not a white base coat. She's less than half white, and the white doesn't separate her spots. She's a tortoiseshell tabby.
@TampaHeathen, which isn't a white base coat, but a large splotch of white. And her dark areas have stripes, not just the orange, which makes her a torbie.
@TaraMarshall Generally speaking, a calico has large distinct patches of color and a lot of white. (Same website you referenced).
Sooo pretty! Do I see a moustache?
Lol. Adolf!

Posted by LaurenIt's my first grand's fifth Gotcha Day and this is her in the arms of my daughter as they drove home.
Posted by LaurenIt would be warmer for us both if he'd get on my lap, but it has to be his idea - though he still likes to stay close.
