I know this site is aimed mainly at the USA but what happened in Bristol last night may be interesting [bristolpost.co.uk]
Home secretary Priti Patel is trying to pass a bill through parliament which will give police greater powers to control legal protests.
Aroun 1000 people gathered in Bristol last night to protest about the bill. Police vehicles were torched and several policemen injured .
I can't help feeling that those people have done themselves and everyone else no favours by their actions.

Another 14 "protesters" arrested last night. Apparently a peaceful protest got ugly when police tried to disperse the gathering. It is currently unlawful for people to gather in numbers due to lockdown restrictions. Several policemen have tested positive for Covid and others are in quarantine after a mass gathering of football supporters in Glasgow a week or so ago, I have some sympathy for the police as they are in a "no win" situation here.
