BLM is not just a US phenomenon, but has become a worldwide phenomenon. Wherever the hand of white privilege has touched.
And before the white privilege deniers begin bringing up others cultures behaving badly to other cultures Chinese and Uyghurs, Rohingya in Myanmar, etc). Yes we know it is happening and there are protests regarding this behavior exists as well. But they are not specifically relevant to this post.

You can guarantee that the “what abouterie” will follow by privileged white people attempting to justify their inability to accept that BLM is not some left wing conspiracy manufactured by anarchists and agitators in the USA, but that it is a movement that has been growing slowly out of long unaddressed inequality of treatment, opportunity and human rights of black people, especially at the hands of the police and the judiciary. Yes…it’s prevalent not just in the USA either, white privilege and racial prejudice does exist in some form or another throughout the world.
