Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.It is very similar to when people say you can't tell jokes anymore, you can tell them, but you better be ready for the blow back. I looked at a lot of my material from the 70s, the political stuff while funny had lost its relevance. Those racist jokes mostly could be rewritten with out the racist bent and still be funny. You just have to not be racist.

I do my best not to be "not racist", but to be ANTI racist.
"I never laugh at racist jokes," I reply. "I was just joking!" the racist says defensively.
"It's not funny," I reply. They stopped telling racist jokes around me.
