Good old West Virginia, a local school held a mandatory assembly to evangelize students. At least 10% of the student body walked out.
[abcnews.go.com]
"Onward Christian Assholes,
Marching as to war!
With the Cross of Evil,
Going on before.
Christ, the Nasty Master,
Leads against the good,
See his banner FALL!"
The school denied it was mandatory. Except, it seems some teachers insisted and sent their kids. I have a few questions 1) Why the fuck can they do this on school hours?; I understand it can happen after hours, blah blah 2) Were the teachers simply assholes acting on their own or misunderstanding the school (that seems to be what the administration wants to pass on) 3) Was it actually the administration who did order it 4) Will anyone get punished over it; will any parents sue (the Jewish kid's parents sure should)
10% is better than no one.
Considering the ages involved, I'd say it was a pretty good walkout.
