In March 2020 when the world was first learning about the new/unknown virus spreading around the globe and lockdowns/restrictions were becoming the norm, the term fascism was being thrown around like beads at Mardi Gras I was constantly putting the definition of fascism as a post or in a response to republicans I knew on FB. I have only 1 republican left on my FB friend list.
Personally I think it is about time democrats started calling the "new" gop ideology for what it is-fascism.
The Movement Conservatives - todays gop - demonized the term socialism years ago. IMHO the media and the democrats did little to nothing to correct the co-opting of the term. Same with the dems did little to stop government from co-opting religion. That's a whole other rant.
I'm also not going to get into the whys and wherefores of the dems and the media failing to correct the right, I'm just glad Biden threw that at out there.
