We had the garden open for charity last week, and raise nearly eight hundred pounds for good causes. Mainly medical charities, and the village sports club. A happy smiling face, not mine, on the gate is of course all important to sell the tickets, ...

I went out to take a picture of my night blooming lotus, and came upon an orgy. It looks like the rain brought out the females. The baby toads chow down on insects (fleas, ants, and other small critters). So once they hatch out in about 5-7days, ...

Quite frankly, most tea bags from the market are toxic, so it would be best to cut the used tea bags open and incorporate the used tea leaves into the soil.

Anyone interested in chipping in on some land (20 acres, 40, more?) and escaping this crazy society? I'm envisioning a small off-grid community of private homes, a community garden, a water source, solar/wind/hydro systems, and a workshop/barn. We ...

My fish pond is some of the only water around right now. The male toads have staked out their own lily pads. I use the water to water my plants, then fill the pond every couple of days, it amounts to about a 10%water change each week.

This year’s cantaloupe, squash, peas, and tomatoes. Not much rain lately. That’s supposed to make the cantaloupe sweeter. We’ll see.
