Well the weather is a funny thing, is it not ? Last week I posted about the mild spell and how well the spring flowers were coming on. And then this, is what I woke up to this morning. But spring flowers are tough, they will probably come through OK.

I miss having a garden but at least some of my houseplants are blooming to make up for it. This is my "Precious Red" African Violet from Lyndon Lyon Greenhouse. Enjoy!

We have had a short mild spell, though we will be back to winter next week I am told. But the spring bulbs have come out, and the gold and white of the daffs is set of perfectly by the Chinodoxia.

Playing in the dirt makes me happy!

Blimey, the sparrows haven't even finished with their "morning farts" and already I have 4 Magpies, 6 Corellas, 13 Wood-pigeons and a pair of Ring-necked Grass Parrots lining on the power lines awaiting the Maitre-de to bring forth their repast.

What is the tree with those lovely blossoms?

It's that time of year...

We have had an unusual mild spell this last couple of weeks, and the garden is full of life. It wont last, winter back this week they say. Winter Jasmine, Arum italicum with new leaves, Mahonia, Fungus, Stinking Iris berries, and geranium.
