Deutzia An increasing popular flowering shrub. I have 2 plants called Dutzia Pink-a-boo. It seems deer resistant but, as you can see, it also gets large and is another, of many in my gardens, that require attention.

I posted about a month back about bins with a water reservoir. I am quite pleased with the results. This was a bin with the ropes for handles.

Having another cup of coffee. The air is heavy with the scent of lilac. Playing Cake on my speaker. About to scrub up the chairs. Lovely day to be unemployed really.

Sunflowers coming in nicely .

Two daylilies with rather similar coloring, blooming on the same day, on different plants ... look at the difference in size! and although both use the yellow and red palette, there is the subtle hue differences and 'eye' pattern. I photographed them...

Dierama Wandflowers I have mentioned before I like unusual plants. A very unusual plant is blooming now. It's known as the Angel's Fishing Rod.

I've bored my coworkers with talk of seed starting and gardening. A noob to homesteading. I'm starting a garden from scratch in the front yard this year, and hopefully will have enough land cleared to get pigs next year.

My piece of Irish bog oak, I think it’s just bog wood, anyway it can be hundreds or even thousands of years old preserved by the acid in the bog, not cheap though...
