Yesterday while mowing.... I noticed the first of our asparagus was up! And as a bonus, a stalk appeared in one of our front garden beds as well! I'll include them with my experimental dinner tonight.

I found a decomposing dead fish that washed up from the lake when I was mowing this afternoon. I decided to play Indian and buried it about a foot down in my sickly asoaragus bed. If the cat doesn't dig it up it's bound to help some.

Back to the project that started last year. This planter will have the grandchildrens pumpkin patch. The comfry is busy with the bees. Thyme drying in the sun. Hopefully by summers end have the bavk here mulched.

My single Japanese eggplant is still producing, but I'm getting a little tired of it, so I may pull the plant. This will get cooked with Italian sausage, peppers and mushrooms in a marinara sauce for freezer meals.
