This is the time of year when my little garden is still lush, and the trumpet vine that shades my bedroom window from southern sun is in full bloom. Each morning I step out of bed, pull back the darkening curtains, and see this!

Our "bee hotel" after three years, is now occupied by a wide range of bee/wasp pollinators. I think the hyacinth vine cover did it.

More on the Yard Long Red Noodle Beans: I picked the first one at 27", as it was getting thicker than a pencil, as recommended. It does cook red, and tasted a bit earthier than green beans. I now have 7 or 8 more coming in with our late, hot summer ...

I planted just one each of acorn and delicata, and this is what I got, no growth the past couple weeks. The plants quickly pooped out in this heat, and are now becoming compost.

Mother nature can appear cruel. Tomato Caterpillar infested with wasp eggs. When the wasps hatch they feed on the 'pillar.
