A Yard Long Red Noodle Bean has finally popped, and I believe a few more are almost ready to bloom! Next year I will get seed to start many more (2 of 3 seedlings remain from my impulse purchase). The lavender blossom was so sweet!

Rototilled the "graveyard" garden to test the soil. Definitely needs augmenting. Lowes expedition required before we start transplanting. This, hopefully, will be much like our Mailbox habitat upon completion.

New "reduced in size" backyard habitat garden pretty much populated with all perennials & bulbs. The remaining old garden area will be mulched over and become a rock, fountain, and large container garden for annuals.

When I planted my first garden in Yuma, I had a terrible aphid problem. So much so, that I bought ladybugs on Amazon. They DID solve the problem, and quite frankly it is a fairly inexpensive solution. But maybe this would have been just as good. ...
