The garden is coming to its first full flush now, so I took a little walk round. Under the rose arch, and the tree branches. Down the steps to the pond are. Around to the seating. The fern bed. The small sundial garden. The wild wood.

The Echinops ritro are in full flower, really big thistle like plants growing to six feet (2m) and like most thistles, they are really loved by the insects.

I planted 3 or 4 new daylilies this past Spring, all selected for having an "eye" and for being a rebloomer. So far this is the only one reblooming but oh boy, doing a good job of it, with 7 buds. Currently nos 3 and 4 are open, and gorgeous.
