This is why I’m planting in tires. I need to dig a couple pond drainage ditches and build some mounds. This is after a 3 hr rain. We cut over a dozen tires and placed out for planting when we got rained out. Now it stoped time to get back at it

Went to a friend"s little cabin yesterday, I was going to spend the night, But my dog Thor hurt his foot on some glass on the side of the road. Had to bring him home and take care of him. The fishing was good,The catfish weigh 23lbs.

Pictures of what I have canned so far. 26 quarts and 12 pints of hot spicy pickles, and today just finished the 7 quarts of green beans. I should get 7 more today but I have to breakup and clean more beans.

My lettuce experiment....( thanks too hot, dry weather!) How can a lettuce plant bolt? 4 feet and climbing! Can't wait for it to bloom. Lol. Has anyone ever cooked lettuce like spinach? I vaguely remember my Mom doing that when lettuce got unruly.
