I find it comforting that if I get stranded some where there is always public transportation. Full disclosure, I work for a company that builds commuter trains and trams.

Hopefully not the same company that worked on Light Rail for the City of Ottawa (ON Canada.) Apparently our trains have square wheels and just flat-out don't work when it's cold out.
