This actually works. I have tried it at Costco. People get away fast
thinks to self: "hmmm, a shopping cart IS about the right distance, wheels can pivot if I'm approached from multiple sides...helpful in COVID as well as a zombie apocalypse..."

And you can hitch it to your car bumper towing bar but frowned on & usually banned from buses & trains.
