That was beyond your control, out here in Kansas these people be like “oh look, some microbursts and funnel clouds! Time to break out the BBQ and lawn chairs and watch the show!”
I was born and raised in Illinois. I miss it.
A woman with whom I worked told me about a conversation she had with her son during a hurricane in Florida. "Well mom, there goes the fence. Shed's gone. I think the roof of the house is about to leave. I outta say goodbye and join the wife and kids. But first, what was it you wanted me to do?"
