Actually was clear here for the Northern Lights this year YEAH! Not that I could summon up the energy to get out to see them. From the images I have seen that others have posted it does not compare to the amazing display I saw back in the early 2000s during the last solar max. Brilliantly red (I thought the city northeast of me had been nuked) then shifting waves to greens and pinks.

Me too but I did get a break (after several weeks of rain//clouds) on eclipse day and it was magnificent
