The big hard sell was the idea of sins in the first place, and that they had to be paid for. Here we are in 2024 and people are still told sins have to be paid for in blood. Does this bring you to Jesus or to shooting somebody? I've never understood it but some people get so confused they end up cutting themselves.

I love getting in arguments about freedom of religion with Xtians. My position? It's freedom of belief, the freedom for any to believe what they want. As organisations, religions have no freedoms.
They say "No, no. That's not right." so I then respond
"So, if I invented a religion where we sacrifice a human and our ritual is drinking their blood and eating their flesh, I am free to do that because it's a religion?"
They say "No, of course not"
