Only in the USA, though. In the UK we put the day first. Not sure why, but we say it differently too. For example, you'd probably say "August fifteenth " and a Brit would say "the fifteenth of August ". How it all started, goodness only knows.
Only if you take the dashes out. But still very cool. I guess this could happen next year in September? I'm not much of a numbers person.
