As an educator myself I would advise people to watch and listen to the talks from Sir Ken Robinson. He has some damn good ideas on how the educational system should be changed.

great TED talk. His points on "what is a degree worth" and how jobs that were open to someone with a BA 25 years ago, now requires an MBA is so true. Its happened at my office and while these new hires are talented/skilled they are still only one person - they can only do s o much in a day regardless of how many Masters degrees they have
