LMAO - I totally missed that history program but this meme is a parody of the creation of the "christ child". I just am not sure which of the larger figures is meant to represent christian god.

The history channel gave in to the "sensationalists" years ago...and I stopped watching. Could our DNA have originated extra-terrestrially ?
Sure.
Is there a deep dark, complex story behind it? No.
Some flash-frozen ocean from another planet far away rained down on us....complete with flash-frozen organisms....and there it was...
DNA to start its' complex evolution in our proto-oceans.

@Robecology To my knowledge human DNA hasn't had an injection of alien DNA, ever. It's a funny meme that might scare a bunch of trump supporters. 
That's all. I do like the situation you outlined elsewhere. That's certainly possible!
@MojoDave Not to my knowledge, either....but when I heard about how our oceans filled up with a "rain of comets" - I did research.
I discovered that to be named a "comet" that they have to be a coma (actually an atmosphere) surrounding a nucleus (up to 99% pure H2O) and a tail (the remains, or leftover "tailing" of the nucleus).
That they are probably extra-solar (from outside our solar system).
That they're mostly large chunks of mostly frozen H20 water (can also be frozen Ammonia and/or Methane). Asteroids are mostly rocky, and mostly formed within our solar system (no tails, no "coma" no eccentric orbits).
It's logical that solar systems within our galactic neighborhood are likely to have formed, including planets with liquid oceans....and then died.
When these systems, or their planets - died, or their oceanic planets exploded, large chunks of their ocean...now exposed to the bitter cold of space - were flash frozen - and set adrift.
Some - in theory - found their way to us.
We're not likely to be the first planet to have evolved life - nor are we the only one - nor the last.
I remember when the history channel had real history. Then again I remember when atheists weren't in love with woo, not that your post reflects this and it applies to agnostics as well. What has happened to rational thought in this world?
