Is that a flathead? I've been trying to catch a big one for a few years now. There is a place on the Wisconsin River where they catch them up to 50 pounds. Biggest I've gotten is 12 pounds. They say live bluegills work the best. Every time I try that I get a damn snapping turtle.

@Captnron59 what do you use? Suckers? I have heard they will spin it around in their mouths and not just take it. How do you know when to set the hook? Do you open the drag?
@Captnron59 Damn. You ain't playing. Ya all use one and a half pound carp for bait. I guess everything is bigger in Texas. We don't have bluecats here but it gives me some ideas.
