I once got up to get a drink of water in another room while high. For some reason, I stopped part way and had an experience. Very realistic. I was standing on a highway and above me was a "Monty Python cloud" which started calling my name, like god. That was unnerving, until I realized it was a friend asking me if I was alright. Christmas eve in the Navy.

@Beowulfsfriend HAH! For awhile, a friend and I tried keeping journals of experiences like those. We quit when we realized that, half the time, we couldn't read what we'd written and/or couldn't understand what the hell we meant by ''asparagus is god."

@LucyLoohoo Years ago when I was smoking pot, the one thing I could not seem to do was write. This was before computers and pads, which I imagine I could have used to put thoughts down. But writing with a pen just didn't work.

MANY years ago I used to go down to the corner tea house in Istanbul, and spend the afternoon smoking uncut opium in a large water-filled hookah. And there one lazy afternoon, I had a religious experience. Some magical entity appeared out of a cloud before me and very quietly said, "Eduardo, don't believe any of that religious horseshit. It's all make believe."
